Hollywood actor Johnny Depp – best known for his roles in movies such as “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Sleepy Hollow” and “Public Enemies” – has reportedly acted like a true hero off-screen recently, by rescuing his pal from a mugger.
Depp was reportedly just leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles – where he was apparently recording a guitar solo for a new Babybird song – when his friend, Babybird star Stephen Jones, was threatened by a man yielding a broken bottle, The Sun reported.
“It was an extremely scary moment,” a source said, adding that the guy looked off his head. “Johnny looked him straight in the eyes and told him to back off,” the source continued on to say. The mugger was then said to have backed down after Depp intervened.
The insider said “The guy was OK. He looked at Johnny and said ‘I ain’t stealing from Captain Jack’ and put the bottle down.” The source then explained that the actor had then given the mugger a few bucks, and had told him to straighten up his life.
