Here's my story....
We got to Leicester Square about 3.45, we had to take the bus sunday morning as my brother who came with me had to work late sunday night to get the time off to come with me.. when we got there, there was quite a lot of people already there, the barriers were already up, and about 2 or 3 people deep, we walked about half way up the line and stood where there was two rows of people in front of us..the heat was really intense as we waited,
As the afternoon progressed I managed to get in line with the people that were one in front of the barriers, people were starting to come in behind us as 5.00 approached, we knew Johnny was expected around 5.30, so I was getting quite excited as I knew at least I would have a chance to see him from where i was standing,...
Then... a car pulled up, and every1 started screaming, I managed to get my right arm over the barrier to see if it was johnny, but it wasn't..
It was after 6.00 when he eventually arrived, he got out of his car, and the screams were intense, I couldn't really see too much where I was standing, but I knew he was here, and my heart was racing, he went up to the front of the cinema where the media was to do TV interviews, he seemed to be away for a lifetime before he came down our line..
At first I couldn't see him as he approached, but heard the screams, the pushing then started, I was pushed standing sideways with my right arm over the barrier, and I couldn't even move my left arm..
When I eventually saw him getting nearer I thought my heart was going to burst it was thumping so fast, he was about three people away from me, I was looking at him and he looked just absolutely stunning, and tanned, like an adonis in my eyes, I just couldn't beleive it..
I held out my pic I had of him as Dillinger for him to sign, as he was signing for the person in front of me, the pushing became too much and I could barely breathe, the screaming was deafening, he signed my pic, and I managed to get the words "Thank you Johnny" out.. the pushing became worse and I couldn't take it any more and I called out to Jerry that the pushing was just too much, he told everyone to step back, or else Johnny would stop signing.. Johnny must have heard me call to Jerry and looked back at me and said either "are you ok?" or "it's ok" the noise was so much i couldn't hear exactly what he said, as he said it he touched the back of my hand I could have died right in front of him.. all I could do was nod back to him, I just couldn't say anything back to him I was so choked up thinking he was either looking out for me, or reassuring me,...
I watched him go down the line a little trying to hold tears back until he went out of sight, then i got out from the barriers... and not ashamed to say.. I cried!!
So...that's it
My second encounter with Johnny..!!
It was very hectic, very hot and very emotional, and I don't know if I would do another trip to London in just over 24 hours again, but to see Johnny in front of me was well worth it!!!
