With The A Team, I saw the 2010 movie version before I saw the series from the 80s. Well I'd seen like an episode and a half of The A Team before I saw the movie but it hadn't really left an impact apart from "I like the pilot Murdock" so I had no idea if the movie was faithful to the show when I first saw it, it was only after I'd seen the show that I realised how it had tried to stay faithful to the original show.
I just don't think this 21 Jump Street movie is gonna do the same.

Johnny Depp set for uncredited cameo in '21 Jump Street' For more than a year now, rumors have been floating that Johnny Depp — who got his start as a teen hunk on the ’80s undercover-cops-in-high-school series 21 Jump Street — might jump into Sony’s big-screen reboot for some kind of cameo. Well, after seemingly endless speculation, a source close to the production now tells EW that a small, uncredited Depp cameo does indeed look likely to happen. No details are available yet on what character Depp might play in the film, which begins shooting this month with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in the lead roles. AMAZING NEWS!!!  ;D Channing Tatum is not playing Tom Hanson. For some reason many people just assumed he'd play Hanson when he was announced to be in the movie. |

And on imdb it says Channing Tatum is going to be Jenko! JENKO?!?!! HUH?!!?! He is dead!!! Is this movie going to be a soap opera?! |

They've released the trailer on facebook, seriously guys it's awful. There's nothing in it from the show we love. It's just swearing, twitter references and sex jokes. Bleugh.

Yuck! You are right!!! There is nothing on the show we love! It did NOT have a Jump Street feel to it!!! What is with all the swearing?! No thanks not interested in watching the movie at all! |

It really didn't. No idea! I'm passing too, I was gonna give it a chance but after the trailer, no way. I can't believe Holly tweeted saying it looked funny. Nothing about that looks funny.
