www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWANZopDTeYThe video of the 21JS cast performing this song to the ending credits is not in the DVD release, but screen shots and the audio were found and uploaded to YouTube. I was wondering if anyone has seen the video? Also, its hard to see with this screen cap, but can anyone identify who's who here? It looks like Johnny in the top middle, b/c I see the headband, lol. But I can't recognize anyone else. edit. OK I just realized Holly is next to Johnny lying down horizontally, no wonder I couldn't tell. But I don't see Sal Jenco.

That is hard to make out lol! If you hadn't said where you thought Holly and Johnny were I don't think I'd have spotted them. Is Sal the one wearing the shades?

Yeah I was suspecting Sal was the one with the shades as well. To be fair, the only reason I figured out where Holly was because I remembered she had a peace sign t-shirt and hat. ;D

To be fair, the only reason I figured out where Holly was because I remembered she had a peace sign t-shirt and hat. ;D That was so cool thanks for sharing it. I wish they included it in the dvd's and wonder why they didn't? I thought the dvd's did have everything since it is supposed have the whole episodes. I love seeing Johnny play the guitar, having that smile jamming and having fun and then getting so into it. He says music is a part of him in that interview I told you all about and posted. I've seen him on dvd's playing in the studio with his guitar and he is soooo good on it. The Riffs and playing lead for his friends whether jamming or doing studio playing on their albums or Vanessa's. Also on Sweeny Todd he sings fantastic too. He didn't think he could do it he had only ever sang a bit of back round, I was impressed! Holly, I love her voice and wondered why she never had a singing career. Would have been cool to have Johnny also sing harmony, a three piece with Sal. Sal Jenco is a long time friend of Johnny's and I wonder if he sang too when he was younger? He did a great job singing with Holly on back round. But there are only three of the cast in the video so I don't think they'd have the rest of the cast in that end pose. I see the drummer crawling in between Holly and whoever else that Sal is leaning against. And yes I think you are right that that is Sal.... Oh man that is fantastic I wonder what else we were jipped on? How did you find this? ? And again thanks for sharing it. Though I'm so sad they didn't include it.......Sue

I found it on YouTube. Holly planned on coming out with an album, she originally wanted to be a pop singer and acting was originally just a way to pay for her demo tapes. In an old article Holly talks about it. "Everyone that meets me seems to want to know the same thing. `What's it like working with Johnny Depp?' And I always give the same answer - it's wonderful. Not just because we're both really dedicated to the show and its message to high school kids - `drugs are not cool'! - but because we get along so well. And because he's a really sweet guy.
"First of all, and I'm not sure most people know this, Johnny and I are both musicians. I mean that. We think of ourselves as musicians first and actors second! We both write songs, but I'm more of a singer and Johnny's, more of a guitarist.
"And we perform together sometimes. So it's only been at cast and crew wrap parties, but we've been talking and Johnny just may play a couple of tracks of the album that I'm making. I hope that happens.
"As for Johnny' own music, that's something he's a little hesitant about right now. It's real important to him that whatever music he puts out that isn't confused with the image he has. You know people see him as an actor and he's becoming a celebrity and all... Johnny just wants his music to be taken seriously, not as a celebrity who's suddenly trying to make a record.
Is there a Romance? "Because of the attraction of our characters - Tommy and Judy clearly like each other - and the fact that off screen, Johnny and I do hang out together, people are always asking if we have a thing going on. Well, the answer on 21 Jump Street is that I don't know - whether Tommy and Judy get past the flirting stage is up to the writers! - but I can tell you that in real life were just buddies, that's all!
"What else can I say about Johnny? He's a great actor, in my opinion - and a great friend."In this interview one of the questions asked if he would sing on her album. jumpstreetchapel.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/198803-16b.jpgNot including it on the DVD was so unfair. Its not like there's a copyright on it.

Some of it I've heard on his bio for A&E but not the Holly part or that people were asking if they'd get together on the show. Interesting..lol.....I only knew about the last band he was in "The Kids" I did't know about the other bands. I do know he has played on a lot of albums. also that "the Kids " Opened for the B-52's and Iggy Pop who plays in a movie with Johnny..lol..small world. but this was great, thanks again love this stuff. You're welcome.
Johnny and Iggy are good friends now. He was in Cry-Baby and Dead Man. He also did the music for The Brave I think.

Yes, Iggy did do that music for The Brave which I think was a good movie. Shame they panned the movie and it didn't play in the states. I know I had to get a copy over seas, but there are a few of his movies I had to do that with. I still think it's funny how Holly remembers Johnny saying he'd never sell out and then teasing him when he did. But he did only for his kids. I thought at first it was just Jack Sparrow but I see Charlie and the chocolate factory and Alice in wonder land. But only the character ones not the movies like the tourist and stuff. But still it has to be strange to know him and see his character on things your kids have....lol....Sue

Well no one knew Pirates would be such a hit. Disney came to him for the role and he accepted, and of course made it his own. I know a lot of people refer to POTC as films for kids, but its PG 13 (and the first Disney movie to have that rating) and has a lot of violence (and some subtle sexual content).

I was always under the impression that Johnny meant by "not selling out" was that he'd only take roles that he wanted to take -- not just let people tell him what he should do. It seems like he's done that throughout his career -- his roles have been so varied and many of his movies haven't been "popular" -- not that they aren't good, because they are. I think he took on Pirates in the same way he does every movie part he takes on -- if it feels right, he puts his whole heart and soul into it. He has said that Jack is his favorite character he's played -- and it shows

He has said that Jack is his favorite character he's played -- and it shows I think that was a big part of it. But remember he didn't want to be all over magazines and all that stuff as a teen idol either. So when Holly meantioned that I think she tied it into POTC and of course we also see it in Alice and Charlie too. And he has done a fantastic job with characters that he has wanted to play. From Hell he did that due to his interest that started when he was young about Jack the Ripper. I love how he does Ed Woods..lol.... And Jack, I can now see how he put Keith into it. Seeing them together is just great. Johnny must have gone nuts when they got Keith to play his dad! Sue
