I've never heard the Platoon story, did he even have enough lines in there to change?

I thought Johnny didn't know Fredrick yet, but he wanted to work with him (and that's why he signed on)? I always heard Fredrick Forrest left because he wasn't used to the TV schedule.

And yeah, Johnny has always had a history changing his lines, going back to Platoon

Now back to the topic. I read that about Johnny wanting to work with Fred and that they were friends. You know it could be off cause the writers in articles aren't always 100% right. Plus I didn't know that he was friends with Sal Jenco off the set. Johnny did something else with a small part for Sal in it but can't remember what it was.
I never knew for sure if he changes lines but figured he did or it seemed in some movies. Especially a Tim Burtton one where they know each other so well that Tim just says something and doesn't have to get into it for Johnny to know what he means and what to do.

But they did cut out a lot of what Johnny did in Platoon it showed that on the A&E bio I have a thread about. They had to cut so much of his stuff out that Johnny was disheartened, like where did all the hard work I did go? Can you blame him? They cut it like that because when they showed it for a reaction which they do before putting it out the public liked Johnny so much. Johnny out shined Charlie who was a lead character. But the little I saw that was delete was nice, but they didn't show much.....Sue
