What season is your favourite and why?
I have two:
Season 2 - because they've all settled in and its a fun season with lots of great eps, okay there are some personal eps and sad ones but the mojority and fun! and Johnny gives a good performance!
Season 3 - because, there are some emotional eps but also some fun ones again... i dont really have a written reason but i perfer it to season 1 and 4

It's a hard call to make -- I love the episodes in season 2 a lot. . .many of my faves are in that season (Orpheus, Big Disease, Best Years, Chapel of Love, Christmas in Saigon) but I really, really love having Booker in season 3, and my very fave episode -- Swallowed Alive -- is in that season. . .so, I think I'll have to go with season 3, at least for today, ask me again tomorrow and I'll probably say different. . .

season 3 for me, mainly because most of my favourite eps are in there "Swallowed alive" "blinded by the thousand points of light" "AWOL" to name but a few, closely followed by season 4, I love "stand by your man" and the whole Doug and Martha storyline "come from the shadows" and "La Bizca" were really heartwrencing stories!!!!

I can't decide! I enjoy Season two but season 3 is depressing, season four has really great episodes, season one is ok, season five I like it but not without tom! I settle for season 2

I like all four for different reasons. Season 5 I don't believe that is Jump Street and haven't watched it yet. I am thinking of watching the first two cause it has Johnny Depp's name on it and thought it would show how he left but from what I read here it doesn't.
Anyway I love Jenco, no one has brought him up yet that I see. I think he is far out! i just love that hippie attitude, yes Fuller made it a workable office but I love how the program starts out. How they make the Tom (John Kennedy) Hanson into a kid again..lol...and you can slowly see the clothes changing on him. You see him wearing this pink shirt and a yellow sweater (nerdy) and then he slowly starts dressing like he does on assignment , but all the time.
Season two there are some excellent ones! Oh and I like that Johnny got to work with his friend Fred on the show, aka Blowfish. I read that was one of the things he like but haven't read alot about his time doing the show.
Season 3 just got done watching that season. I love Hell week, and Swallowed alive. I think the one with Kenny is in season two cause he first appears in the pilot.
Season four, there are some good ones with Tom but I notice that a few times in Season three he isn't in the episode at all and sometimes just for a cameo. And in four there are just some episodes with out Tom, or Johnny cause you can tell he just wants to leave and that is when he is questioning about if he wants to still be a cop.
But there are episodes that are my favorite in the four seasons. I would love to just record all my favorites on to a disc..lol....sorry I never did tell you my fav cause well I explained why...lmao! Sue

It's hard to narrow it down, 21 Jump Street had a lot of great episodes. Season 5 isn't really as bad as I thought it would be but it does suffer without Johnny, Peter and Dustin (and I seriously disliked Ioki)
I think Blowfish was played by Sal Jenco? Not sure about the spelling there. Sal's been in a few films with Johnny as well.
I'll be honest I much preferred Fuller to Jenko. Fuller had more of an authority figure image going on and he seemed to be more of a father to the team whereas Jenko was like their crazy uncle letting them run riot all over the shop. He did care and he did have some moments of reigning them in but overall I liked Fuller's approach better.

But who did johnny's friend Fred play? Or was he in production? I think Fuller organized and was better too, so I have to agree with you. But I do have to say I just loved the few episodes with him in it cause it was just so different...lol....thanks Sue

I'm not sure. I'm a bit out of the loop and can't really remember a Fred. Someone else might know, sorry lol. Yeah I agree. Oh yeah Jenko was fun, I just liked Fuller better - perhaps because the first season I saw was 3 so I was used to him being the Captain.

And also how one of the reasons that Johnny wanted this part was due to Fredric was a friend of his. Poor Johnny he must have been disappointed. I wonder why they got rid of Fredrick, and how Johnny was though he did need the job. Sue

They got rid of Frederic because he kept making up his own dialogue and changing it. Generally being a nuisance, he wasn't used to working on TV because he was a movie actor.

Oh I see, I guess that can get to a writer and director real quick..lol......Changing the lines, though some actors are allowed to adlib a little with the script. I guess Johnny never did that or one ot the others......lol...that is good I can see him doing that with that type of character......thanks, Sue

Apparently Johnny started doing it in season 3 attempting to get fired.

I always heard Fredrick Forrest left because he wasn't used to the TV schedule. And yeah, Johnny has always had a history changing his lines, going back to Platoon
